Singapore-based Silent Eight, a startup offering AI-backed compliance platforms for financial institutions, raised US$40 million in a TYH Ventures-led series B round, which was joined by HSBC Ventures and Wavemakers Partners.
Today’s round brings the firm’s total valuation to four times its previous value in October 2020. In that time revenue has grown sixfold and headcount has tripled.
“Historic performance has been strong and the future revenue growth projections are even stronger. This is a business that’s poised to scale,” said Kolya Miller of TYH Ventures. “We have been incredibly impressed with Silent Eight’s leadership and are fortunate to be involved in such an impactful enterprise.”

Cognixion, a startup designing an intuitive brain-monitoring headset and interface for people with physical disabilities, has raised a $12M A round.
The round was led by Prime Movers Lab, with participation by Northwell Health, Amazon Alexa Fund and Volta Circle.
“You would think that Cognixion ONE is something out of science fiction
if it didn’t already exist,” said Primer Movers Lab GP Amy Kruse.

Glints, the Singapore-based career platform, announced it has raised $22.5 million in Series C funding led by Japanese human resources management firm PERSOL Holdings.
Other participants included returning investors Monk’s Hill Ventures, Fresco Capital, Mindworks Ventures, Wavemaker Partners, Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal and former Goldman Sachs TMT China head and partner Xiaoyin Zhang.
The new capital will be used on Glints’ expansion in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Taiwan and hiring for its product and engineering teams.
